How Delaware Organizes Aging Services

Delaware does not have individual county Area Agencies on Aging. Because Delaware is so small and only has three counties, the federal government designates the entire state as a single planning and service area. The state government itself acts as the one and only official Area Agency on Aging for all three counties.

The Official AAA (All 3 Counties)

The federally recognized Area Agency on Aging with jurisdiction over New Castle, Kent, and Sussex counties:

Agency: Delaware Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) / DSAAPD

DSAAPD Community Services — Kent/Sussex County Office

Kent and Sussex counties do not operate their own county-run aging departments. Instead, the state’s main aging division operates a combined localized office for both counties.
